Hi Keith! My girlfreind has small hands and my 13mm taper is uncomforatable for her to shoot with. What do you think of the 12.5 or 12.75 shaft tapers? Is there any thing I should be aware of between the two tapers? I am only familiar with the 13mm and have no knowlege of the smaller tapers. The shooter will be for pool, mainly 7-8-9 ball. Thanks!

Cut shot, it is an individual thing with a cue, and it comes down to the "feels."

The length, between the ferrule and the joint, of taper is also an individual preference. I have a long stroke and like a 16.5-inch taper. My shaft is 12.75.

I'd suggest you let your girlfriend use a smaller shaft and see if it feels comfortable in her bridge hand. After she finds which one is better for her, then you can work on the finding the length of the taper. :)

Another thought, because some girls are smaller framed, they usually need to use a shorter cue stick, preferrably, say, 56-inches long, or maybe even shorter.
