122 ball run calling out Pro One visuals

Congrats on a spectacular new high run! A couple thoughts:
1. Very, very nice table! A forgiving table like that must be a genuine BLAST to play on! I'm jealous. :thumbup:
2. Welcome to the 14.1 forum! You might want to know that here we discuss "everything 14.1" -- patterns, strategies, rules, gameplay situations, "what would you do here," etc. We don't discuss "aiming systems" here. (There is a completely separate and dedicated forum to that abused topic entitled, as you know, "Aiming Conversation." Trying to sell or discuss aiming systems here on this point-purpose forum, is about as bad and out-of-place as a certain well-known aiming systems advocate who tried to do the same over on OnePocket.org. "It didn't end well."

3. I wouldn't yet classify this run as "your high run for the year." It's only late February as of this writing -- you still have 10 months in the year to go to try to best it! :thumbup2:

Your table might appear to be forgiving in some ways but I can assure anyone that it will keep a fellow honest. My efforts recently only landed me a near 40 on your masterpiece of a table for 14.1.

Very nice run, DTL. Solid shotmaking, with a few really nice "run savers" thrown in, and nice patterns. Having an Anniversary myself (on which I recently ran 49 before dogging a hanger with the rest of the rack open), I fully understand what you're saying about the pockets. Yes, they're generous, but still can't be taken for granted.
Your table looks beautiful, but just for a bit of historical accuracy, I don't believe it's of 1945 vintage. It's hard to tell, but I'd guess it's more of the early 1960's vintage. I say that because of the ball counters, and what appear to be formica (as opposed to walnut) rails. It's also hard to see in the video, but the nameplate looks like it's the oval one (flat at the top), which I think is 60's vintage. And original Anniversary pockets, at least early ones, were maroon, not black. But no matter, it's a gorgeous table. Anniversaries are built like tanks and are a pleasure to play straight pool, or any other pool game, on. I sometimes wish mine had the original cushions, but I'm still happy with the Artemis cushions I have now.

Nope, just one voice of many here. Although I will give you the nod in admitting that lately I might've been more outspoken.
Actually, with the fact that the domain name is called "forums.azbilliards.com" (plural), I think the "sections" here are called "subforums" but it's not helpful or productive to nit-pick.
And if you look at my answer, so was I -- even giving him a link to find the Aiming Conversation subforum easily. Cutting right to the chase, many of us here (and I know I speak for many, because this topic has been broached before) come here to the 14.1 subforum to focus on this great game, and take a respite from the "wilds" of the Main forum or elsewhere. Many of us here don't want to be bombarded with sales pitches or with topics that already have another subforum dedicated to them, when we're trying to deep-dive into the intricacies of playing this great game well. If I may speak frankly, that means aiming system discussion. And it's not like I personally don't like aiming systems, because as you know, I spend some time over in that subforum as well, and I do support folks' use of these systems. It's just a "respecting the boundaries" thing, 's all.

Totally uncalled for Sean. I didn't try to SELL anything. Sometimes you can be really NASTY.
I was coming off a session where I gave up weight to a really good 9 ball player and in one game was down with me needing 12 and him needing 1 and I came back to win that game. I was RELATING how CTE helped me with shots that I normally would sell out under that pressure.
So respectfully, try to not mischaracterize things concerning me. What happened was that the same old naysayers gleefully jumped in to knock. I did get pms on that forum from some other members THANKING me, to include at least one bonafide legend.
Gosh when someone posts the "aiming trick" to make Vern Elliot's banks no one bats an eye. I post a thread with excitement over my one pocket performance and how the "aiming trick" helped me in the WHOLE GAME and it's sacrilege.
Same here that you would try and discourage anyone from posting whatever they feel helps them. The PROOF is in the results. Gosh what if someone here has been struggling in the 50s for a year despite all the advice about patterns and break shots and relaxing and breathing and cueing and stance and stroke.................who then sees Duke's progress with Duke's attribution to learning CTE/ProOne and tries it and immediately jumps to 70s or even breaks a hundred. Would that be terrible?
Maybe that person never thought to go TO the aiming section under the belief that they didn't need it.
Stop trying to be the aiming posting police. This entire forum is a POOL forum dedicated to playing better pool.
I for one, believe that every bit helps and no one should be discouraged from sharing what they feel helps them, ESPECIALLY when they provide video proof to back it up.
