Does anyone have any suggestions for good books or videos that cover the strategy and possibly patters of 14.1?

Book - Phil Cappelle - "Play your best straight pool"

videos - Jim Rempe "how to run a rack" & "How to run 100"
John Schmidt's 2 videos on straight pool
Danny Harriman's "280 Ball Run"

100 percent agree with Steve!

Plus the book: *Mastering Pool* by George Fels - it s imo an absolutley must-have for every player!
Next is *the straight pool bible* from *Babe Cranfield*.
Get these 2 books and all the stuff Steve shown up-and you ve all you need^^

Cappelle's book "Play Your Best Straight Pool" will be back in print shortly so don't go getting one off the net for $100+.

If you can find them, the Mike Sigel videos "perfect pool" and "runout pool" both have very informative sections on straight pool.
 
Videos

Also Jim REmpe's "How to run a rack" and
"How to run 100" are good videos.
