Well i dont have much info because i got there late but i got there in time to see my buddy Max Eberle put up a run of 98 to have the high run for the day. I sweated every rack and the last one almost gave me indigestion.

He only had a back of the rack break shot to play for on the 4 ball and the key ball was close to rail and he had a bad angle on it and when he made it , the cue went about 1 inch further than it should have and he wound up almost on top of the 4.
He shot it and the angle was too severe and he missed it, was a hell of a run though.

I am going to try tomorrow as its $20 for the amateur round, who knows i might get lucky. Probably wont do squat but what the hell, i have blown $20 on stupider things, lol.

Does anybody have any updates on high runs at this event.

Rumor has it that participation is a little spotty.

I didnt even know they were having a 14.1 Challenge there, did not see it listed on the announcement.

9 footers, I assume. I did not hear different.

Bill is there and said for one three hour period last night they had no players.

I guess Max had a 4 inning score of 154, and I heard Tony Robles was giving it a shot.

Conditions not great, but maybe that will change.

Yeah, 9 foot diamonds.

Some info from Max Eberle on Facebook

At least my numbers held up to win the high run and 4 inning total contests in the tournament qualifying attempt rounds. Thanks to Mark Griffin of CSI for presenting, Predator for sponsoring, Robert LeBlanc and Caleb Von Dangershark for running a smooth event, Diamond Products, and all the players who played including the tournament finalists Ralf Souquet and Thorsten Hohmann, Semi finalist Tony Robles (I was beat by Ralf 100-62 in the other semis after squeaking by Calvin Coker 100-88).

Congratulations, Max!

Let's see if Max can better his 2006 finish in the World.
