I watched a young German guy (19 yrs) run an 82 on the Diamond yesterday. Great rhythm and confidence and intense Focus. In the run he did jump a ball with a jump cue (debate?) but he did make it and continue on. The run ended when he missed a med tough back cut down the long rail and its funny, I was right opposite his view on this shot and my perception was that he didn't commit to it with the same intensity as the other shots in the run. That was just my perception, when he was down on the shot I was thinking, "uh, You don't look ready" and then he stroked and the ball hit the long rail a bit short. He did get perfect shape on ball 84 but alas the miss. What a mental game...
I spoke to him briefly after and asked if he has run 100 or even 200 (believable based on watching him) I was surprised when he said 91 on a Brunswick - congrats to him on a great run on a tougher table in a public forum. Strong showing for sure.
What was his name though, I can't remember? Steve or Charlie can you comment?
