My tips is keep the cue ball short if you can, lots of stop shots.

When you shoot a break shot make the ball over forcing anything with a rack

Watch DVD's especially the Rempe how to run a 100 balls and how to run a rack in straight pool. A big thing from this is his suggestion to spread the balls and try to run a rack without touching a rail. Do this 2 times in arow consistently and you are starting to see patterns.

Look for the triangle balls at the end of the run ala Holiday and Schmidt.

Good luck to you.

Hi,

Thanks to Denise and John Leach, the owners of All American Billiards, for their support of the NCS and of our beloved sport.

Another suggestion to all interested in learning more about 14.1 is check out the following links which have some tremendous videos and books to help with strategy.

Best of luck and hope to see you at the NCS 14.1 National Championship at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ July 31-August 2, 2009

The top two players at the national event will move on to play in the 2009 14.1 World Championship.

Thanks,
Holly

Here are a few (yes they are crappy) pictures of All American Billiards. It is one of the nicer pool halls around.

That is a truly nice room. The space between the tables and the extra seating section between the two pool table areas in particularly is a great idea. This is a terrific tournament venue. :) Thanks for taking the time to share these photos.
