I wish they would slow roll balls over these permanent templates in the demo videos.

They don't affect the roll any more than a spot does. They paper reinforcers are thinner than the spot.

Also should I make the down angle 14 or 15 degrees?

The downward angle seems to be the hidden gem when tightening pockets and tweaking the corresponding facing angles.

I've been hunitng through the threads looking for definitive math, but it doesn't seem to be as clean cut as, 'at 4.125" by 141degrees, and a shelf this deep use a downward angle of "xx" '.
