1965-1967 Palmer

1965ish Palmer (possible Gandy shaft)
This cue is solid, Butt rolls straight, shaft has some movement in the middle of the shaft however the tip does not lift at all, put together this cue rolls smoothly across the table.

Palmers are very collectable cue (2 high end cue collectors thought this cue is possibly a Paradise cue or a Paradise/Palmer collaboration cue)
I'm selling this as a Palmer if by chance it turns out that it's a Paradise your value just doubled or tripled.

Price: $900

A nice cue indeed.

A few random thoughts - in no particular order.

The shaft also could be a Viking - metal collars on the shaft were all the rage in that
time frame.

Pin looks to be 5/16 x 18, and if shaft is either National Tournament(Gandy) or Viking,
that pretty much nails it as a Palmer. Paradise used 5/16 x 14 as Rambow did.
Not impossible he made some with - 18s... but mucho non likely.

The butt sleeve is not like any Palmer I recall, but IIUC one could get 'custom'
treatments from the Palmer shop.

Hopefully Tate will chime in.

I don't know what was discussed

But this Cue is more likely a Gandy Cue. They contracted their Cues out and sold them with their tables.
Oldie.

Faded Foils

There looks to be foil in the window I'm thinking that works on the foil faded off over time?

That is possible but the words would still be present as the foils were stamped, not simply printed.

There would also be a consistent embossed pattern on the foil itself which from the picture does not appear to be present.
