Can anyone give me insight on this table? Is it on par in quality with Gold Crown? I know it was one of the last made in USA and is 3 piece slate.

[edit] by quality I mean does it play similarly: slate, rails, pockets, etc.

When I lived in Kentucky, many years ago, I had a 1928 Brunswick that looked a lot like the one you pictured here. Played great. I may be wrong but I think that if it's set up well and has good rubber, it will play every bit as well as a Gold Crown. By the way, why is it that all pets somehow manage to get in the picture you're taking and you'll be totally unaware of it until you view the picture? I had a red Dobie back in that time - great dogs and make excellent companions.

1971?
Looks more like something from 1917.
If that's the case I've never known an antique to play like a GC.
I subscribe to the school that says if you want a table that plays like a
GC then buy a GC.

I talked with the owner, he purchased this in 2003 from mueller sporting goods, the owner had completely restored this table. He really didn't know the year, so my guess is that it's a 1928 or older. He paid around 4k for it, and it has had very light use. I'm picking it up for < $1k. Can't wait to get it installed and play on it!
