GB made cues from 59-75.... Approx 1200 cues. During those years, he used Spain blanks from 66-71. Meaning that he used Spain blanks approximately 1/3 of his cues, or approximately 400. NOT a rarity for a GB to be a Spain blank. Yes GB authentic original cues are rare, however the Spain blanks are not

Not every GB cue built 66-71 used a Spain blank, The provenance as Cicero Murphy's cue, if as stated in the thread, makes it rare, indeed.

Murphy Little(Ret. Attorney passed in 2000 or 2001) was the original owner of this cue.

This Balabushka was recently sent back to Pete Tascarella for a new set of papers. The last set of papers were from 2006. I believe two new shafts from Pete were also built for the cue so the owner can hit balls with the cue and not worry about using the originals.

As Joe mentioned, thanks for that info, what makes this cue rare is the fact that ivory was used and this cue is in original condition and has never been refinished. This cue is as it came from George in 71.
