1978 Viking Z90 and Imperial Clam Shell Case

That's A Hell Of A Cue For 200 Bucks....

i just wanted to everyone know that the cue and case are back in the closet with the owner and not for sale any longer......
it's a shame. as for the circumstances surrounding the discrepancy of which model this cue is, using the "from memory" information i have from Barry at Viking ( which he even said it was a long time ago and even he couldn't be sure and was just guessing and going off older brochures for his thoughts) and on the flip side the memory of the owner which is very detailed and has a matter of fact time line which includes many "dated" instances including major events in his life and in American history, make me know this cue is pre 1979 because i believe the owners memory is more solid than Barry's for this instance. someone missed out on a nice cue.......

sure sounds like someone did miss out. I just read through this whole thread and think everyone oughta get green for all the research and the way it was all handled. Nice refresher after some of theskins said:

yea someone did miss out but then again with all the misrepresentation that goes on here i can see why some would shy away. i was just trying to do a favor not only for my friend but for someone who would really wanted to own a vintage Viking cue. oh well i'm sure this same thing has happened with better collected makers also so we'll just file this one in the "one that got away" file. :wink: ......and yes more threads like this one would be a blessing here.........
