1980's Meucci

Here is a really nice Meucci from the late 80's. It's in great condition for a cue that is over 20 years old. The butt is straight and there is a slight taper roll in the shaft. It hits great and weights around 19 oz. It has a laminated Irish linen wrap which feels like no wrap. There is a slight bubbling of the clear coat on the forearm which doesn't show in the pics. I'm not sure of which model it is or what it's worth. Please PM with any offers. No reasonable offer will be refused. Anyone with any info about the model or what it's worth will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Nice cue. I believe Meucci went to the script Meucci logo in 1991 if memory serves, standard cues before that were marked Meucci Originals. I believe you have a Meucci M-3 model here.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

I must be mistaken then....I was thinking they used the Meucci Originals from 1975 to 1990. If I remember right, in 1990 there was a transition stage when they were shipping both logos for a couple of months on some cues. I used to buy from Bill Randolph at Billiard Pro in Memphis, at their old location.

Again, I'm old and my memory is probably shorting out :)

LOL...with Meucci, you just never know. Just around 5-7 years ago they sold some remakes of Meucci Originals with the Meucci Original logo.

Maybe even not so far back,,,,,last year there were a heard of New Road Agents available all of a sudden with the Originals logo. Just a few years ago Ebay was flooded with alot of Meucci Seconds as well,,,,,,,,you just never know what your gonna get buying Meucci cues anymore,,,,,,,,,all that said,,,,,,,I have 2 old Meucci Originals, that I've had since they were actually the only Meucci's, and I love em.

You are completely correct, the is from the 1990's not the 1980's. The logo on that cue is the currently logo that they use which they started using in 1989. Meucci remade many of their older models and thie cue is one of them.

As far as the model it doesn't really matter that much if the cue is perfectly straight it is worth between $190 and $250 in it present condition,

Thanks. First $199 or interesting trade takes it.
