Did you ever live in Jacksonville Florida?
I lived in Ft. Walton Beach. I was stationed at Hurlburt Field FL from 98-00.

nice attitude.
" It was nothing to do with the price because I KNOW it would and WILL sell if I put it on ebay."
How many bids did it have?
"Now, I've dealt with several people on here. I sold Chris Tate (Palmercollector) a cue, and I think he will vouch for my integrity. He wasn't happy with the cue at ALL (and I stress...at ALL)"
I'm shocked.
"and I "immediately" gave him a full refund"
I would hope so.
"Now..you have all of 28 posts or so. Who are you and why do feel like anything you say matters to me? You think I'd sell it to you anyway? "
I criticize your blatant shady deal where you clearly violate ebay's seller policy and you don't care about my opinion? Figures, goes to show about your ethics.
"If you got any heart or game you can come on down to Alexandria VA and post your money against the cue, and trust me you will have all of the competition in me that you can handle. Put up or SHUT UP I always say."
yeah, yeah, you get called out on your shadiness and all of a sudden you come with the challenges, oh I'm sure you're a world beater and all![]()
and I should just run halfway across the country to take you up on your childish challenge, just to hear you say after I beat you, "the cue is no longer up for sale"![]()
"Can you hear me now??"
hard to hear a worm slither.

Matt_24 said:I put it on here first. There was no interest.
Matt_24 said:I put it on ebay, and there was quite a bit of interest.
Matt_24 said:If it doesn't sell there...then I'll drop the opening price back to $850 and hope to break even. I don't think asking a $150 profit is very greedy, do you?.

Ok, so I'm a worm. Now...I'm asking $1000. Do we have a deal or not?
Matt_24 said:I've never been the recipient of one of the legendary AZ flame wars. This kind of sucks.
I promise I'm not shady ya'll. Anyone can come visit and play with me anytime. Purdman knows me. I don't know why these guys are all upset. I guess they don't have anything better to do than try and flame someone. Kind of pathetic actually, but it IS the internet.
So "Inrush"...I take it you DON'T want the cue?![]()
TATE said:I just want everyone to note that I think Matt is a very honest guy and a very nice guy. I think he was truthful here about his reasoning and the facts - more truthful than most people would be.
I've had a lot of communication with him and some dealings, and I will vouch for him. If you want this cue, you will not have any problems dealing with Matt.
I'm not fond of cancelled auctions myself, but since there were no bids, I don't consider it a big deal.

Purdman
How about putting a good word in for me with TATE. Maybe he will sell me a Jam Up Palmer at a reasonable price.
Purdman
I am gonna put the Scruggs you sold me in my avatar. Don't cry now buddy!!!!!
Guru said:1. Perfectly legit to end an auction that had 0 bids. You broke no eBay rules, nor did you do anything unethical from my view. (and I'm a real stickler about eBay auction pulling, so that's saying something)
2. Fine to ask what you think a cue is worth.
3. Also, perfectly Ok to change your mind about selling/not selling.
4. Asking 1400, then 1000, then linking to where you're asking 850 from strangers, but then coming back and telling the "inside crowd" that it's now 1000 for them. That was what I think set folks off, as it could come across as thumbing your nose at them. The smarmy attitude while explaining your position probably didn't help the situation either.
Hope you don't think it's a flame, it's just an observation from another low post-count outsider.
