I know most have seen "the shot" a z-illion (zing?) times, but only recently did I behold this video, which shows the last few games of this finals match, including of course, the z-

a few observations:
- a nice crowd is really tuned into this one, and the vibe is very cool.
- they're on the hill! I hadn't known this previously- what a great time to pull out the protractor, huh?
- earl is mint in this vid- from thanking the heavens to a great post-match interview, and most of all, his excellent sportsmanship towards efren- in this match, you really get a nice picture of "the pearl"-
- good commentary from two stalwarts of the sport, and one of my personal faves, billy incardona
- "the magician," waving his wand, once more...
 
Forget

Thank you for posting this while I have watched this before not only is it great to see it again but it reminds me how much personality there use to be in Pool.
The players are great today but tend to be very robotic.

Not only was it hill-hill, it was for the tournament AND for Player of the Year.

But it left me with a question.

This was on a gold crown, with green cloth. The ball colors were traditional. Nether player had a "low deflection" shaft. No cue extension was used. Neither player used a glove.

How the hell could they play at all, let alone at such a high level????

EXACTLY. And Earl playing a Cuetec and Efren with his infamous
$15 cue.
