1999 US Open - Table Lights

I was watching a match last night from the 1999 US Open between Jim Rempe and Francisco Bustamante. Grady Mathews and Mark Wilson were commentating.
There was something that I found odd. Maybe it's of no significance, who knows. Anyway, they were playing on Gold Crown IV tables. But the lights over the tables were made by Diamond.

Anybody else find that odd?

I have a 9 foot GC IV with a Diamond light above it. Just liked the looks of it

The GC4 came out in 1998 or so. Maybe the Gold Crown light was not available until later in the GC4 production run?

How were they breaking? Does a Diamond light make a GC IV break better?
If so it’d be less expensive than buying a new table!
