$2,000 Sets Tonight!!!!

Your source is? and your point?....I challenge the accuracy of your your source if you have one. However is serves no point. If you read the fine print in many states it says cannot be carried with in"X" number of feet where alcohol is served thus including the actual spot.

However, this thread was not about that and it was mentioned in my comments on the position of the oversall thread.

I googled the facts...to the extent the results were accurate, you are correct in the number of states where it is actually spelled out. I apologize> Phil

Ya, nothing like inviting more trouble by letting a guy win and hustling him.

What is wrong with this pool world.

As soon as you realized that you were in that good of a game you should have throttled back a little and made the first set closer. Winning the first set 7-1 at someone elses house, outnumbered 5-2 w/people, and everyone carrying is a recipe for disaster if you don't know everyone there really well. You got the absolute best possible outcome there by getting the $2K and even that is a sh!tty outcome given that $20K was posted for someone to win.

Win the first couple of sets 7-4, 7-5 and then let him win a set.

Apparently no one learned from the trouble that ol' New York and Arizona got themselves into at the hedge fund guys mansion.............

I'm playing some $2,000 sets of 10-Ball tonight. Each of us has froze up $10,000 a piece. We are playing until someone has lost all of their share. This will be at someone's home and it will remain anonymous. There are a few on here who know where this will take place because they will be there.

Both of us are Average players, but we decided to see which one of us was better under pressure. There are usually a couple of 3-packs put together when we play, but I don't know about tonight. This kind of pressure might make me fold. Wish me luck.

I guess the pressure would depend on how much $10,000 is to you. I assume that you would not be putting up $10,000 if you could not afford to lose it, so in that case, there should really be no pressure on you (or him, if he can afford to lose the $10,000). Good luck, and I hope that you can afford the loss (if by chance you do not play as good as you think you need to play, in order to beat the other guy). Just so the money part does not bother you (and get in your head), and you get to the game feeling good (mentally and physically), then you should do good (if you are the better player). Good luck.
