Having received more than 18 hours of instruction condensed in a 2 day period , the condition of my brain can only be described by adjectives such as overloaded, fried, scrambled, & dessicated.

However, I can honestly say that after spending more than 4 decades as an educator at the levels of junior high school as well as university, Stan has raised the standards of pedagogy beyond any I could have ever imagined.

His synthesis of theory & practice is manifested in his ability to execute every lesson from the most fundamental to the most advanced.

He has scientifically reduced every aspect of the game to its lowest common denominator, demystified it, & operationalized it to a point of efficiency that will permit me to reduce my learning curve by many thousands of hours.

I only hope that I can do justice to the experience as I attempt to implement his infinitely superior text at the table in my basement.

I am confident that my time with Stan will permit me to introduce the agony of defeat to many opponents.

I only wish that I had met Stan when I was 6 rather than 66.

I wish I had your writing skills. Good post.

Where is Stan? I know he's Landon's father etc... I just forget where he's located.

keep learning,keep sharing

Hello ,how about the seniors divison- better late than never. Its how you play the game not wether you win or lose, the cash or humility. Just like halhoule at 95,the last link to the late Ralph Greenleaf. better late than never! keep it up-the pool game -look at lassiter over ? they thought he was done and he had the heart for 150 ball run over joe balis,to name one golden oldie. mark

Money well spent.

IMO, Stan is one of the best instructors on the planet and one of the nicest people too. His attitude and philosophy towards teaching is awesome - and his passion for pool is infectious. Best of luck to you - I KNOW you will start seeing major improvements immediately!

For anybody else out there - a day with Stan Shuffet is worth about 5 instructional books, 4 dvd's, and a million hours of trying to learn everything by yourself. His training is highly effective and highly recommended.

I have a source that says Landon was even younger than 6 when he met Stan.

You are so right. I am 58 and old enough to go to the senior center. I fix their cues, give lessons, polish the balls, and clean the table. 5 of them have their own cues. I fixed them and gave the 93 year old guy my 97 Espiritu. I was teaching him backhand English yesterday. Ernie has his own table at home and now has the Ghost Ball Aim Trainer. They are really getting into it. They are building a new center and adding another table.
This sport/game is for everyone who enjoys the reward of some hard work/effort. Please tell me why every senior center has a table or two. Just like the old days when the Boys Club and the Baptist church had a couple of tables. You think they have been getting ready for us? :D
Peace, Purdman :)
