Awesome gesture! I emailed you about my youngest nephew, who is a pool freak (only 6 years old). He loves one pocket and loves learning. Shoots with a house cue that his dad painted up and is probably warped. The tip is horrible on it.

He's already in the will to get my high dollar Meucci, but I havent kicked the bucket yet.....lol

Thats a wonderful gesture. I just emailed you earlier about a local high school kid. You can post his story here if you want.

i have a few stipulations:

1. you have to promise to work hard at becoming a better player, promise to practice faithfully. your parents can write the letter, but you must also write to the best of your ability.

2. you must promise to "Pay It Forward" - you can never sell the cue. When you can buy a better cue, you can only give this cue to another young person, but for free. you must promise this.

(if you do not know the movie "Pay It Foward" please rent it to know this condition.)

3. only emails to my email address will be considered and it is: smokeyblack@cox.net. as this is a personal issue, all letters are of a strictly personal nature and should not be part of az for others to see.

i want these to go to good homes for the benefit of 'our' kids. it is my way to say i am grateful for all i have, and to pass that on, and share it with others. especially my wonderful friends on az!!

i know many here are very rich, and some very poor and like me many in the middle. this is only for those that can not afford a good cue for their child due to circumstances in life. i would hope that these cues go to 16 year olds or younger, but if otherwise, it is opened to older children.

this is to give them the opportunity to grow and see that in life, not all is for monetary gain, but for fulfilment in life.

i just want to tell you all, this is my way to say thank you to all the new friends i have met here. and to honor you to deserve all the respect you have given me..

but i insist on one thing: no body and i mean NO BODY, GIVE ME REP/GREENIES FOR THIS. i don't buy respect.

i will post pix tomorrow, but know they are lightly played joss 04 and a jos 07.

please remember: only write to me at: smokeyblack@cox.net.

thank you,
miles

Miles you are certainly a Class Act, I could not think of better thing to do!!

Have a great night man!!!!!!

rep

i've gave you a good rep on this post because you're welling to give to young person that doesn't have what we've got ^5's to you BROTHER!!!:) A TRUE AZERS i slute you!:D

That's a very generous notion. I gave a brand new Schuler to an old friend of mine who loves the game but had no money. He helped introduce me to and develop my 14.1 game and it was the least I could do to repay him for his kindness. Some of the best money I ever spent.

I hope that they go to someone that truly needs them, and not some joker looking for a free ride.

the cues have found new wonderful homes where they will be used.

i just want to thank to all who emailed me about the cues. it was an amazing and unforgettable experience, first one like this in my life. usually you can give to a charity or just some one in need on the street, but this was really different as it was first with strangers but became very very personal.

and most striking; almost all who emailed said this:

"but if there is some one more deserving, please give it to them".

to me, just utterly unbelievable.

maybe we can all learn something from this - i did.

i must work now, but i will answer all of your emails tonight, time permitting.
