Yes, I'm still making cues. My dad and I used to make cues together but I took over about twelve years because he was suffering with dementia , he died about two years ago. We've made quite a few plain cues but the fancier ones get shown more I guess, the new Ivory law is having an impact on the higher end cues though.

Ivory is tough action today. Check out Elforyn when you get time. Machines well, dust free. Takes finish well and it is offered with or without grain. Great stuff. It is offered in blocks and rounds.

Speaking of guitar wood. I've got a cue with camatillo. It is the dark violet and black streaked straight grained. When I had the wood shipped to me for my inspection it was all turned round, the sound it made when you tapped it was unbelievable. It would just ring! Love the rosewoods!

Sounds like you got a nice piece of wood for your cue. I haven't used it on a guitar yet but I think it would look pretty nice.
