I've been scavenging joint collars off some old,busted cues,and ran into something unusual.
One of the cues was a badly warped import. I heated up the joint collar and unscrewed it,and found out later the bore for the shaft pilot is .030 off center,LOL.
This other cue was also an import,and was broken beyond repair. It had the pin and collar left. I overheated it and had smoke rolling.
I unscrewed it and after it cooled,I got to messin with it,and saw a seam in the face. Before long,I found out that there is a thinwalled piece of SS on the outside,and a seperate piece inside,that has the internal threads,and the bored/countersunk face.
I plan on reusing it somehow,but anyone else ever see this? Tommy D.
