Hey...It Sounds Like Everyone wants To Do The Right Thing..
If no one objects, just as an intersted forum reader that bought a cue about a month ago thru AZ and am about to buy another one next week.
The total dollar purchase for my 2 cues will come to $3,450 which is a lot of money to spend.
When I buy a cues for this much money (70's Joss West & '93 Joss West) I expect accurate descriptions of any flaws, or cue finish imperfections, down to the tiniest detail, The seller owes it to me and I ask questions and rely upon a seller to completely disclose all information, whetehr or not in theri mind they consider it to be significant. The buyer makes that determination when the seller fails to mention or otherwise disclose soemthing about the cue that the buyer is entitled to know beforehand.
The forum recommends using escrow, porminent cue dealers encourage the use of escrow, everyone claims to be honest and purports to return the money id not completely satisfied but there's always the opportunity to become someone's 1st transaction that goes south....disgareemnet over what's significant like "slight taper roll" ...whose opinion determines what;s slight and what not...the seller...the buyer.....there;s too many opportunities for something to go awryand when big dollars are involved, what's wrong with being prudent.
Frankly, if a seller steadfastly refuses to use escrow, even if the cost was split or even paid for by the Buyer, as a Buyer I avoid doing busienss with any sellers like that....there's got to be a reason why a seller doesn't want the sale transaction to be subject to a 3rd party review. Frankly, that tells me I'm completely at the mercy of the seller which makes me completely vulnerable which is a pretty stupid position to ever be in. People who sound defensive about using escrow usually have some reason to feel that way and that means that all the cards played haven't been turned face up so both the buyer & seller see the same cards and "at the same time".....that's not a smart hand for any buyer to play.....Matt

Yet you said on pg 1 that you won't do escrow. I might not make as much money as you, but you're asking $1900 and $2500 for these cues. Do you not consider that "higher dollar cues?"

I think the only thing that might be missing is attention to detail. I can't see how that would be a big deal considering the price of these cues..huh?
I would CYA and use a third party.........ask alot of questions.......get a hand written guarantee.

I thought you said these were YOUR cues??
