Rack Daddy's will be hosting another $2000 added 9 ball tourney the weekend of January 30th, do not plan on it being a one day event unless you go two and out.

A flyer will be posted soon and results from this past weekend's event as well.:wink::wink::wink::wink:

I packed my overnight bag but my guy got knocked out that I was staking so I headed home.

Highly recommed the atmosphere, service, food and beverages and the room.

Here is the FLYER for January's event

Also I believe Sam said his expansion should be done by end of January and he will have more tables.

Even with the expansion

Also I believe Sam said his expansion should be done by end of January and he will have more tables.

Sam told me that he is PUSHING to get the expansion complete for this event and even with the 3 or 4 extra tables and a full field this spills over into day two due to the nature of the loser's bracket dragging out the tournament.

I would guess a minimum of 4-5 hours on Sunday.

Bring your overnight bag....................

Well AJ's jacket made it back in a hermedically sealed bag today. Thanks Sammy.
I will get it to critter tomorrow.

Red circle cue balls on ALL table would make this tourny even better.

Bump:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Does he need to buy NEW master chalk too ???? Wait a minute Mark, Sam might need to get some tissue too.... You know someone will cry if the conditions are not PERFECT !!!!! Come on people..... It's a BAR TABLE tournament !!!!!! Just show up and PLAY.... Sam is giving us a GREAT opportunity to make some money here, JUST PLAY !!!!

Well a player can bring new chalk and tissues to the tournament and use them without obstruction. I am pretty sure that if a player shows up with a red circle cue ball and wants to use it he or she will be denied...... Unless all cue balls used are the same. I have attended this tourney in the summer. My opinion is that red circle cue balls could be used for a small fee(for the owner). I am sure the players would experience a better tourney with the different cue balls. After a tourney or two the owner would make his money back, that he spent on the balls.
I have only been to Rack Daddy's one time. I will only go back if they post on the flyer that red circle cue balls are used. The tournament is great other than this issue. Good food, cheap beer, and a good location for a pool hall. Mark is right the next tourney will fill up!

Also the tournament should be rack your own, if that is not the case already!!!!

i have enough red circles. but i like that it is a bar table tournament and that valley cue balls is what is used on a bar table i think that the red circle in great on a 9 foot but thats the table it is made for..... but i will do what the majority of the people want because iam just trying to put on a great tournament for the players

I did not see you at the last tourney?
Oh that's right you placed in the Missouri tourney.
Congrats.
Bring your own tissue.:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Sam I heard some complaints

I heard a few of the top players stating that there were various style cougar drop balls being used, I do not know if this is a fact? But most discerned a preference for use of Red Circle cue ball which for the most part benefit a better player who has a stroke and ball control.

EITHER WAY, IT IS A GREAT TOURNEY AND FOR THE JAN 30 EVENT I WILL HAVE A ROOM, AND STAY OVER FOR THE 2ND AUCTION.:smile::smile:

I have an idea

Let's make it a true bar table event! NO break cues, two-piece cues, or jump cues allowed. Must use one piece cues....

Depends on how fast you drive?

Mark how far is quncy from cape girardeau.

If it takes you 2 hours to get to downtime St Louis from Cape, then you can head West on 70 to Wentzville then North on 40/61 or cut across 255 to 40/61 West/North. for about 2 hours.

3 and 1/2 hours if you drive straight through. 4 hours if you hit the KFC buffet in Hannibal Missouri right on the Highway and it has a buffet.

Auction starts between 12 and 12:30 and if you make the finals, Sammie has a deal on rooms for under 50, with 2 double beds. 3 blocks from the room.

With the 2nd calcutta it makes it worth staying over.

Send me an IM and let me know who you are.

Bump to the top

Sammy, lets bid 40 on this guy out of the gate just in case he plays good.

:grin-square::grin-square::grin-square:

Some St Louis area players will not be there due to the Missouri 8 ball ALL Star event being rescheduled to the 1/30 1/31 weekend.

I will try to make it for the auction and some of the 1st matches.:smile:

What is the all star event in st louis? Which players that usually come to Sam's tourneys will be in the all star thing.

It is for Missouri 8 ball players

What is the all star event in st louis? Which players that usually come to Sam's tourneys will be in the all star thing.

The top players that qualify for this event by playing in the local 13 week leagues. They have a chance to win a couple thousand dollars and a trophy. It happens 3 times a year I believe. Only league players, who have qualified and paid their entry fee's can play. It is not open to everyone.:eek:

But not at Rack Daddy's pony up your entry and you are in. No quarters just one small fee and Sammy will throw in some added money to your fee and last time the winner won like $2800 from the tourny and 1st auction. I think the 2nd auction paid another $600.

Quincy will be the place to be. If you like action show up a day or two early and I am sure Sammy will find you some.
