I was just browsing Accu-stats.com and seen In the 2001 Us Open Final where Corey beat Mika 11-0. I was just wandering how many racks did Corey String together..? How many ppl have seen this match...

He strung two or three racks together a few times, but mainly if he didn't have a shot after the break (or the rack was too congested), he would play safe and control alot of games.
However, Mika had quite a few opportunities to win. He screwed up three and four ball runs, even with ball in hand. He just couldn't get out. Very simple outs, he would overdraw the cueball accidentally by like 4 feet. Bad day for Mika, and Corey played great.
Just wandering Im looking for videos of allot of breaks and runs and figure the score being 11- 0 that 5 or 6 pack was in there.. but guess not..
I have the match...its quite interesting. As Cuetechasaurus said, Corey used his ultra soft break and kept making balls putting him in control of the match. Corey got out of only a few from the break though & Mika played like azz. Mika had simple outs 5 or 6 times and screwed up. As the match progressed, Mika really felt the "goose egg" heat and played even worse...I believe even once he had ball in hand on the 7 and failed to get out. Mika was totally gassing himself. Send Pat the money and get a copy...you'll enjoy it.
Doesnt Efren have one that he shot 1.000 at derby city I watched some of the match but the suds got the best of me and had to go..
