DAMN, JAM... the list sounds like a potential casting list for the "Greatest Past and Present PoolPlayers" movie! I may have to forego other plans and drive down to Orlando for this one!

Later,
Bob

Calendars ...

People will be marking the days off of their virtual calendars.
Wait a minute, can you even draw an X across a day in a
virtual calendar ... lol

Keith.... Grady... Mike Massey... Ed Kelly,.. Ray Martin... it's a "Who's Who" of the Past and Present.

Kudows to the selection folks for providing such a stellar lineup of PROS.

Robin Bell (aka Dodson), Ewa Laurance, Karen, Allison, Gerda, Loree and Helana. The women now have their chance. 7 of them.

Kim Davenport, who's only played in two events in the last 6 months and took 1st on one of them. I still like this selection.

Marlon Manalo... recent Pinoy invader... a tough competitor.

Billy Incardona? someone's personal favorite I am sure.

Lots of past US Open champs. Less current winner ALEX

I sure would like to make the trip to Orlando in Dec to winess the 1st IPT event.

It sure sounds like a fun time.

No Canadians! or even part Canadian (Alex P) would of thought Salvas would of made the list he's always been a crowd favorite.

The field is certainly strong enough to indicate that, unlike their first event, the IPT is looking to hold some serious competitions. Maybe over time i will learn to enjoy 8 Ball but for the time being i have no interest in it.

For those talking about attending, keep in mind the IPT's strange as it may seem "no tickets at the door" policy. If they are able to maintain that policy that will be a huge shock to me.

How sweet it is.

Finally, the greats will receive the recognition they deserve.

And the money. Don't forget the money. LOL.

This has got to be the biggest thing to happen to pool ever, It's very possible that the the person who comes in 43rd, Yes Last, will make more than some tournaments first place prize money.

I guess the payout will be listed real soon and With 1,000,000 purse the payout is going to be real sweet, here is just a MY GUESS based on other payouts of million dollars for other sports:

>>JUST MY GUESS<< of what a payout could look like for 43 player field.
1. 200,000 23. 13,750
2. 75,000 24. 13,500
3. 55,000 25. 13,250
4. 45,000 26. 12,500
5. 40,000 27. 12,500
6. 32,500 28. 12,500
7. 30,000 29. 12,500
8. 27,500 30. 12,500
9. 25,000 31. 12,000
10. 23,000 32. 12,000
11. 20,000 33. 12,000
12. 19,000 34. 12,000
13. 17,750 35. 12,000
14. 17,500 36. 10,000
15. 17,250 37. 10,000
16. 17,000 38. 10,000
17. 16,750 39. 10,000
18. 16,500 40. 10,000
19. 16,250 41. 8,000
20. 16,000 42. 8,000
21. 14,000 43. 8,000
22. 14,000 992,000

How sweet would that payout be!! and how about 5,000 bonus to the top woman finisher, probably not going to happen, but it would be interesting.

Not a chance, they are playing with the big boys now. No special treatment, this is their chance to sink or swim.
