2005 Midwest Expo/Open Cancelled

The 3rd Midwest Expo/Open was originally scheduled to take place this coming September at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL has been canceled this year BUT will return in 2006 in a different State and location with new tournament direction.

The venue will be different and we will only take a very limited amount of exhibitors so that the ones attending will have a chance to sell better and there is less redundant merchandise. Hotel room rates will be lower and the food affordable.

I have several contarcts pending. Haven't made up my mind as of yet. That is why I posted the survey last week, it gives me a better idea of people's concerns.

There are several places I am interested in, and it's all location, location, location! If anyone has any ideas, please contact me direct at windycityopen@aol.com

NUTS!! I'm deeply disappointed. I really enjoyed the St Charles event.

You sure theres not another nasty city a little farther out of the way thats
available.


I say get with some travel people and find the city that routinely has the best air deals thats within the region you want to have it in.

Thats if you have options.
 
Hmmm thats too bad. What about the Windy City? Oh BTW it's always a bad idea to post anouncements of this nature on April 1. Lots of people won't take you seriously.

Pat, I never thought of the date when I posted it.
The Windy City is still on and bigger and better than before. I will be making an announcment about it shortly.

Eydie and Bob,
Have you ever thought about St. Louis? It's centrally located from anywhere in the US and has numerous Interstates coming thru it. They have a Harrah's Casino there that IMO would have enought room. There's also the main convention center downtown that connects to the Edward Jones Dome (St. Louis Rams home field), they are always hosting different events at the Convention Center. Plenty of hotels, a Metro Link (above/below ground subway) that runs from Lambert International Airport (St. Louis) to the convention center front door.
Added bonus, it's close to the two of you and myself as well!
