I guess the airline still hasn't found Ajeya Prabhakar's cue as of today. The airline lost Ajeya's cue when he flew to Austria last week. Ajeya has had a heck of a time all week worrying about it, not playing well, etc.

Yesterday when he matched up with Christopher Koba, Koba was kind enough to lend him a cue, but it Prabhakar still came out on the losing end (4-1).

That was very cool of Koba to do that. I hope that they find Ajeya's cue.

Here is a copy of the updates I am receiving.

KOBA'S CUE CANNOT HELP PRABHAKAR

Christoffer Koba was kind enough to loan Ajeya Prabhakar a spare cue he had as the pair matched up on the sixth day's play of the 2008 IBSF World Snooker Snooker Championships, though the American representative was unable to overcome the Swede in their Men's Event Group G match played at the RP-Rotax Halle in Wels, Austria.

In a match that commenced at 1pm local time today (5am Pacific in the United States), the first frame went down to the final colored balls which Koba won and he then added the second frame for a 2-0 advantage.

Prabhakar, who is still not in possession of his own cue after it was misplaced by the airline he traveled to Austria with, managed to bank the third frame on the final black ball, but Koba wrapped up the match by taking the next two frames for a 4-1 victory.

Prabhakar speaking to SnookerUSA.com after the match commented: "This has been one of the most disappointing tourneys for me. I played with Jeff's (Szafransky) cue in the game I won 4-3 (against Israel's Lior Pinhas). Even that not fully. I had to borrow another cue for the deciding frame.

"Against Anthony Brabin, I had a cue with huge deflection. Every time I played a shot with side (english), like safety, it would just throw against the direction of the shot.

"Today's match, my opponent Koba had a spare cue that he lent to me which was kind of him. But at this time I was already 2-0 down and no confidence. Could not really come back a lot after. Though I was unlucky in frame four and should have gone 2-2, and also in frame five where a fluked brown early on cost me.

Despite his disappointing performance, Prabhakar was still able to make light of his situation. "In all it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I am enjoying the full Halloween experience here!" he joked.

Jeff Szafransky was also in play today in the same session as Prabhakar's match, and he was up against one of the main contenders for the Men's Event title, England's Lee Page who played on the World Snooker Main Tour two seasons ago.

After winning his three previous Group F matches, the Californian was on a roll and won the first frame of this encounter, however Page, who will be celebrating his 21st birthday on the 6th of this month, went into top gear as he motored through the next four frames to claim a comprehensive 4-1 success.

With one Group match remaining for both the American players, Prabhakar is unable to advance into the knockout phase of the Men's Event, though a decisive victory for Szafransky over Singapore's Marvin Lim Chun Kiat could still see him advance into the knockout phase which would be a fantastic achievement for him.

I sure hope so, especially since it's my Parris cue that I lent him.

that's nice of Koba, and that's what I expected from him aswell. Christopher is a very nice young kid, age 20, I guess, and a true class act, gentleman and a great ambassador for our sport.

He is an European Youth Champion in pool, and I think he started with snooker seriously about a year ago. It was awesome watching him in the final of the European Team Championship when Sweden beat Germany, and Koba played 14-1, which is probably his best game.

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of losing to Koba at the Interpool Open (9-ball) in Sweden. I lost 11 - 4, and Koba ran out from everywhere.
