Polls seem pretty popular this month.

For the near future, are you planning to keep your pool budget the same?

No new products? or if there are new ones, just the ones that really catch your eye or might really improve your game?

No major increase in playing time or number of tournaments (weekly, monthly or regional) Here you just plan on 'playing it by ear', 'If I can get the weekend off and have the extra money I will play in that monthly or regional event'.

Are you going to do anything to improve your game? or, are you going to rely on your current skill level to just make the year enjoyable at the lowest level of investment. Status Quo?

New cue? New Case? continue to enjoy what you have?

Nothing wrong with status quo, maybe an increase in your level of play might come from re-reading some old books or re-watching some old videos.

Either way, those youngsters hungry to get better and win will be doing what then can to step up their game while you enjoy your current condition..

Just wondering.
 
I have a new case coming. I may also be purchasing Centennial balls to replace my existing Aramith balls. No new cues until the business (mine) turns the corner.

Budget is higher this year...I plan on buying at least 2 Big cues (3500-5000) and my goal is to build my own 3x5 tube style leather case.

I will build my first 2 piece cue. I hope it doesnt turn out to look and hit like a dog turd :thumbup:

I plan on playing at least 5 days a week now that our house is finished and my table is set up, maybe 4-5hrs a day. I also plan on getting John Schmidt to come over for a week of pool and ATV riding. We were gonna hook up this year but our house did not get finished in time. Also, I have talked to Gabe Owen and he will be coming to my house for some lessons as well.

I plan on playing in as many open tournaments within a 350 mile radius as I can since I will have more time this year.

I got bad news from my Dr so I will have to lose weight and get in shape this year and that should improve my game as well...it will definately make ME feel better:)

My goal by the end of the year is to be rated a 9

Everything on here I will do, but the getting rated a 9 is the only thing I dont have any control over...that is just my GOAL for the year

Goals are good things... they tend to keep you focused and on a path that will get you to where you are going... sometimes the journey is just as fun as obtaining the goal.

Good luck on the '9', sorry to hear about the Dr's 'bad news' but those are goals also.

Oh yeah.. spending the $$$ to get to your goals is GOOD. I just hope you are spending some $$$ at the pool hall also.

Dr Bad news isnt anything I cant overcome..so I guess its not THAT BAd...but it could turn out to be if I dont do somehting now...

The 9 rating...before I quit playing pool in 1994 I was rated a 9 so I know what it takes to get there...I just hope I have the mental ability to get to that point now...If I dont make it, it sure will be fun though trying....pool is just fun for me...its not about the money, its about the friendships, and having fun, and taxing my brain! :thumbup:
 
hmm, well....

we ALL ***** about not having enough time to play...yet the overwhelming majority is voting for "more playing time, tournaments"....so, perhaps we are all just "WISHFUL THINKERS"? lol
