2010 WPBA ... NYS Thruway closed

I was going to the Seneca Casino in Niagara Falls to watch the WPBA Tour.

Too much SNOW... The NYS Thruway is closed South of Buffalo.
The mayor of Buffalo has issued a no driving ban on all roads in Buffalo.

I turned around... maybe tomorrow.

Wow... that is some bad luck. Those folks know how to handle snow up there- must have been a near-blizzard to close the Thruway.

It's a lake effect band of snow coming off of Lake Erie... like a wall of snow.

No snow further south of Buffalo... No snow in Niagara Falls where the WPBA is playing.

NYS Thruway is closed for about 5 exits only. Cars have been stranded on the Thruway for 15 hours...
People with registered snowmobiles have been asked to assist the stranded motorists.
