What can I say AZer's-except for I told you so. Call it the Venue, the format, or the layout-whatever you AZer's wish to call it. Plain and simple it was just horrible. Again concrete floors, cold atmosphere, no comfortable place to eat or sit amongst other things. At least you guys heard it from me first, many months before this 2013 Expo. I have been there before as I knew what to expect. These convention centers just don't cut it. At least I was smart enough not to reserve a hotel. A couple of hours was more than enough for me as well as for my friends. We could not wait to get out of this uncomfortable Convention Center. After all convention centers were made to conduct business conventions. They were not ment for comfortable vacation atmospheres. Besides saving money on a hotel room, I saved a lot by not purchasing any cues. I also succeeded tremendously by getting back a large refund on a cue that was promised to me but was never completed after years of waiting. Even though the Super Billiard Expo was a big disappointment to many, I expected this. And for the "icing on the cake", no heat in the "Great Hall" Friday night. So the Pro's played in the cold while the announcers complained about it on the live stream. "The pain was too hard to bare" seeing this event go down hill. Again what a shame! Nothing lasts forever. Dude, what are you selling?

This year was the first year that I've been to the Expo since it was held at Valley Forge. What happened with that Venue? I thought it was perfect. I just noticed this is the wanted/for sale forum.

And I remember the few I went to in King of Prussia about 14 years ago....
One big disappointment about this year - parking was a disaster - I had to come at 10 to get parking. If you come after 11-12, forget about it.
By the way, what ARE you selling? :D

Yes, it is the wrong forum but since it's here I'll say this. Parking was an issue but it was an issue at VF as well. I thought it was a little better than last year however fewer cue brokers this year and the ones that were there had a lot of the same cues I saw last year.

The drive from Maryland was longer than in past years...about 1 1/2 hours longer. Which seems really long when you come away with nothing (and I had cash to spend).

Better luck next year...

P.S. Nice to see everyone that was there...

Well the good news is it will still go on for the rest of us
The venue was definitely better than last yr. I brought my tennis shoes with a 1/4 in more padding as that's all you will get with a commercial grade carpet and Vct tile on concrete only changes the look and nothing else
Also no stairs to climb like VF so at the end of the evening I can still walk , bonus ,
It's not VF but its better than last yr and its still by far the best event going

Super billiards Expo 2013

To answer your question- Valley Forge (Radisson) was lost due to they opened a Casino their. To Bad! Why can't they just find another Hotel?

He is selling publicity and dreams. You just can see that, do you?...

Parking was fine. I got there at 11am. I agree with no where to sit and eat... And what's for sale... Lets sell some cues. Trade maybe.... Dom

Silly You......"What's For Sale Here?"

The answer is nothing......doesn't need to be the way the forum operates nowadays. Post anything you like, bump it everyday, be rude to other Azers, post political messages or sell lawn furniture....doesn't matter anymore.

I have stopped reporting violations to the Moderators because nothing changes and sadly, things are going to get a lot worse before getting better. The Moderators are trying to ski in front of an avalanche and so they can't keep up with the task at hand. After all, these guys aren't full-time employees of the AZ Forum.

What's for sale or looking to buy.....Nothing. But if you just want to just tweet about what you did over the weekend, I'm sure others will reply back to you. But you don't need to be buying or selling a freakin' thing anymore. It's become absolutely pathetic but "Oh Blah Dee Oh Blah Daa!".

i had fun, parking was a problem and it was cold, but it was still awesome to talk to pros and cue makers about pool.

Lucky me...i was thinking to fly there from Europe.
Looks like this is not what i was thinking...

My $.02....

Yes, I know, nothing for sale. But a post that comments on one of the biggest selling/vendor events in the pool industry... I'll bite. Here goes....

As I live in MD just below Baltimore I decided to pass, the extra hour and a half each way was a deal breaker. After all, I'm not as avid a player as many here, with kids at home only a couple times a month now. Almost always the same vendors and cuemakers. Not trying to knock the big boys and established cuemakers and vendors. Would be nice to see an event that offers more accessability to the smaller cuemakers and vendors. An event that offers a modest cost of entry to them would have a refreshing mix of exhibitors that might interest more buyers.

Anyway, sorry for those who were dissatisfied, and I hope to attend a more convenient venue with broader vendor list in the future.
