This is smaller China tourney that follows after China Open and attracts top international players who stay over from China Open.
Top prize 100K RMB (about USD16K)
Main event started on 8 July so Day 1 is over
Day 2 starts about 8 hrs from now 10am local time (10pm EST)

my first time watchin this guy chua!... i love the way he shooots!... u knw those players that move around the table real well, eve there psr and stroke is just on point!!... beautiul to watch.

:thumbup: I agree. So far Johann Chua has been impressive. Now I can see why Jay Helfert considers him as his favourite young gun from the Philippines. Hope we see him in the US soon. It is still a long way to go though and he is playing the champion of the recently concluded China Open. Anything can still happen.

Yes. And he seems so confident. This guy has the makings of a future champion. Really fun to watch. He is the complete package. Break, safety play and excellent shot making ability.

He is my dark horse in this tournament. First time I really watched him play and he is now one of my favorites.
