Mark from CSI said in one of their podcasts a couple of months back that at this point in time they had no plans to have it this year.

Sounded like down the road maybe they would try to move it and host it in a poolhall somewhere, making it more financially and logistically feasible to hold it.

I think it makes a lot of sense to get some of the events in the Pool rooms. I had a place picked out and was getting vendors lined up and the room I wanted to use closed before I could get loose enough to get it all done. They had it all, plenty of seating, food it was a real shame. The expense of throwing it at any other place is astronomical.

We are still trying to see if we can come up with some kind of solution.

Possibly beginning rounds at a pool room - last 8 players at the Rio?

There are a couple of issues - costs on transporting and installing 9' tables AND where does the Added money come from?

There is no revenue generated. It's not worth the costs to sell admission. So the added money basically becomes charity. I guess that's cool to a degree, but there needs to be some benefit to CSI.

The event wouldn't be until mid July - I'll keep everyone posted.
