January 2016 Andy Gilbert made from a block a koa
that my friend bought in Hawaii about 8 years previous.
Ivory inlays are called Hawaiian fish hooks, set in blue
ovals (the sea). We are very happy with the result. And,
of course, it plays great.

The other butt in the 2nd picture is a koa Bobby Hunter. Crazy beautiful piece of koa.
Grain has a 3D effect.

One of my favorite woods to use in a cue.
