yea, remarkably cool. i've watched ding choking at the WC for 15+ years, and of course si juahui in 2023.. this guy doesn't seem to bear the hopes of the hundreds of millions chinese heavily on his shoulders. maybe has his social media / phone turned off.
but it's not fair is it. youngster vs 50 year old, in this marathon. willo looks totally drained, they should make an exception and let him take a nap, lol

I always suspected the first player from China to win would be one to essentially have a little 'bad boy' in him, this kid has that, for better or worse (better in this case)

Ding just couldn’t close the deal, he has a few leaks…..
If he’d have had a day off or 2 and wasn’t emotionally spent from the previous 2 matches we’d have a great final. Ofc that’s a long list and a big ask.
This kid is just relaxed as can be, he knows he’s gonna win. He’s not as polished as he could be, but he doesn’t need to be, so I’d guess he’s playing to win-not play perfect. What ever his thing is-it’s working!

i did notice the scantily dressed girl leaving his dressing room before they started, too.. but hardly a new thing that, and pale in comparison to jimmy white's or alex higgins' heydays
zhao will be a force to be reckoned with, as he was beginning to be before the suspension. he will be in the next masters, and since he already has won the UK champs, he could be a triple crown winner soon. i just don't get the feeling he will be as prolific a winner as guys like judd or selby
