It was pretty sweet having that right here in my backyard. The Predator event hopefully will be good this year even though they won't be having championship like last year.Sorry to hear that
From the email I got from Pat:I heard that he lost money multiple years in a row and the pro players complained about the payouts.
Please can all the doom-n-gloom. Running tournaments is a BUSINESS, there's only room for so many. In another post you mentioned the US Open and Int'l, well the USO for one has done fine since MR bought it. Full fields and bigger purses every year. I'd love for Pat to survive-n-thrive but imo he's a small fish trying to swim with sharks and without major sponsor $$ its gonna be tough. Yes, in a perfect world all the organizers would have a big pow-wow and iron out schedule conflicts but i don't see that happening anytime soon. I remember not that long ago when people bitched about not enough events and now there's too many. The big will survive, just how it works.Just heard the Bull carbon tournament "Battle of The Bull" has also been canceled due to schedule conflicts. Seems like the bigger events don't really care about other tournaments in the USA. Heard they were told to move it to December which the host said NFW. These other tournament promoters know exactly when established long time events are planned but don't care and schedule there's instead of communicating to help pool players have more opportunities to earn a living.
