Fedor is definitely elite in singles competition. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't really paying attention or doesn't follow pro pool.
Manas not so much.
Sky is not a full-time player anymore. If Fedor doesn't make top 3 for Mosconi Cup, then I would not pick him as a wild card.
He is a complete waste of space in team events.
Would rather use my wild cards for 2 of Sky/Thorpe/Bergman.
This is an easy one to answer in my book. Manas has a lot of potential to be an elite player but I don’t think he is there yet. Only time will tell if he ever does. Fedor is already eliteWhich is the bigger myth, that Manas is elite or that Fedor isn't?

Fedor plays like a 700 in Mosconi.Sky is not a full-time player anymore.
And yes, what Team USA needs is two more sub-800 Fargo players rather than the Fargo 851 Gorst, world #2 by Fargo. Bring on Thorpe and Bergman. They are both sub-800.
Sure, I get it. The nerves will settle and the quality will improve. Superquick cloth as skog noted. I don’t mind being reminded from time to time that the players are human.True, but I can get unpredictable watching two Fargo 650 players matching up. I watch the best because I like excellence, not unpredictability.
I’m hoping that playing with the ROW and feeling like they have less pressure will help Fedor and Shane shoot with confidence in the MC
Europeans won't give them a 2nd chance like Manas and Albert.after the first rack they played that match well
Agreed. Januarta has progressed much more than Manas in 2026 and will probably reach Day 6 (semifinalist) at a Matchroom major by end of 2027.the other kid seems more likely to get there
Whoever doesn’t think Fedor is elite knows nothing About pool. This is an easy one to answer in my book. Manas has a lot of potential to be an elite player but I don’t think he is there yet. Only time will tell if he ever does. Fedor is already elite
It'd be shocking to me if Januarta isn't a consensus top 3 or so player in the world in 5 years. That kid has a ton of game and the right temperament for it.Agreed. Januarta has progressed much more than Manas in 2026 and will probably reach Day 6 (semifinalist) at a Matchroom major by end of 2027.
Like others, though, I enjoy watching Manas.
I agree that AJ sometimes plays too quickly and Almost nonchalant, however he’s really young but full of elite talentIt'd be shocking to me if Januarta isn't a consensus top 3 or so player in the world in 5 years. That kid has a ton of game and the right temperament for it.
Manas is all gas and no brakes - if he takes the game seriously, I see no reason why he can't also be a top 10-15 player.
Matchroom pool is owned by an English guy sorry bud. You have to appreciate the ridiculous line from Phil yates, and Karl is a good commentatorThis is my third or fourth WNT event after getting the package. It is nice to feel like I am watching a real sporting event, and I am very impressed. I hope they keep it up!
Gripes-
Boyes and the other English guy need to go!
I hate 4 inch pockets!
Can we get something close to the original color balls??
