24th MIDWEST BAR TABLE 9-BALL CLASSIC.....$1500 ADDED

Player List

Would it be possible to post a listing of all the players who have signed up and paid so far???? It may help pull some additional people out of the woodwork for the calcutta, action, etc....

By the way...anyone from St. Louis, Chicago area, or Milwaukee attending????

I talked to someone and the tournament is full with 4 on a waiting list, as of yesterday or so. I cant say as to who will be there this time but it may bring some people that were at the White Diamonds tournament recently. Dee Adkins won last time and there were a lot of strong players there. Jesse Bowman, James Baraks, Brian Gregg, Brian Groce, Chad Vilmont, Jeanette Lee, Steve Oaks just to name the one's I can think of off the top of my head.

Strong Field

Just to name a few,
Jessie Bowman
Jason Kirkwood
Gary Lutman
Shannon Murphy
Glen Atwell
Steve Mcanich

local talent,
Brian Groce
Jeff Clay
Brian Gregg
Denver Barger

I can't make it over there, but it would be nice if someone could take some quick picks of the final player sheets.

I did that a few tourneys ago, and would if I could make it.

Thanks Patrick, wow that is a great tournament.

This has more top name players than I have seen in awhile, although they always get several good name players this drew a ton of talent.

Great job Tom McCluskey!

I wanted like hell to buy Tom in the Calcutta but he put the hurtin' on Strong Arm John the night before and that pretty much ruined the odds that I would be able to afford him in the Calcutta. He went for $500 if I am not mistaken. I know he has been playing very well. I think Jesse Bowman went for $800 or so. Dee Adkins was the blind bid at $800.

There were so many good players present at this tournament. The calcutta money was nutz. I will be back for the next event and hopefully in better form. Lack of practice allows for too many small mistakes which will cost you a game every time when playing against this caliber.

It would be great to have more events like this. Mac Ashby and Brickyard Billiards did an OUTSTANDING job. 10 barboxes for 64 players. Matches were races to 9 on winners and 7 on losers sides. They had the tournament board marked with assigned tables and times for everyone. No matches were called out unless tables opened up early or people were not at their table on time. It ran like clockwork. I have to say that this tournament and those run at the Carom Room are some of the best in which I have ever played. All of the players I met and played against were great. I felt bad that I was bought in the Calcutta for $100 but what can I say...Brian Groce does a hell of a job running the Calcutta. It was a ton of fun.
