Man, how times have changed.

I'm not on Facebook: Any used Swift envelope cases swimming around in that ocean?

Thanks

Why do you not sign up for a facebook account? You do not even have to put a picture of yourself on there, and you can just use it as a tool (that is what i do). You can find a case on Open Billiard market run by John Barton i think. The for sale section is dead because everyone is on facebook now.

Facebook is fu(king the world over and funny thing is, the world invited it to do so.

i couldn't have said it better myself.

Is that from a philisophical standpoint?

The low number of lurkers or lookers in the for sale section isn't a problem when there's a good deal posted.
I think one of the problems is the days of the good cue deal have dwindled.
Too many guys found AZ to be a free eBay, and obviously from the prices I see they are trying to make a buck like this is a retail eBay store front.

AZ is no longer a place where people put up there custom cues and cases, at tire kicker prices.
I've noticed it in myself pricing items for the inevitable trade negotiation.
Everybody bad mouths the tire kickers, when it has always been the tire kickers who buy stuff on AZ Billiards.
Obviously we need more tire kickers with cash to make deals, and stop all this trading and the ridiculous trade offers.

The "For Sale" Section is difficult to search.

Every time I look for a cue it's already been sold and the price removed.

Unless you look 3 times a aday it's confusing.

I use Open Billiards Market or fleabay.

I have bought a few cues from AZB For Sale section when it was still "normal", I just dont see that happening ever again with the insane prices people are asking for used cues.

The Forum (website) has't changed for the worse; quite the contrary, it's gotten better features wise.

Sadly, it's the membership and participation within the Forum that renders it less than before.

I used to look forward to browsing, reading the threads, viewing cue photos & even doing business.

Nowadays, it's more so just an old habit and each visit reminds me of times past and long missed.

I actually hate Facebook, but I do enjoy looking at cues on there and reading discussions on open billiard market. I hate the BS ads that Facebook places on their page, and people who reply to your for sale ads are unreliable or not serious about buying most of the time.

You got to get lucky. And I don't mean just timing.

I replied to an ad for a very nice cue, negotiated a price, confirmed the sale, received their paypal addy and five minutes later was told to hold up, no sale, went to somebody else. WTF?

I feel lucky the deal did not go through.

You do see the humor there, right?
