i use the 90 Deg cutter for the V groove & the 88 Deg to cut the miter on the veneer that's how i do it the miters are dead nuts tight on the fold i only have one cutter available. $ 75.00 shipped in the lower 48Ok Leon..... I have to plead ignorance on this one.....
Why would you want an 88 deg cutter if you are going to put a 90 deg piece of wood in the groove?

Get the 7/8" and simply turn it down!!!
Of course, you'd want a 1/2" steel shield between it and you when you spun it up!!!
