Are you looking for the regular, McDermott style thread, or the modified with a .308" flat minor?

I believe Steve uses the 3/8-10 modified pin.

So what happens when you try to put a McDermott shaft on the 3/8-10 modified pin? What is modified about it?

Best way to show the difference,.... Basically, the Shaft would need to be bored slightly to fit the modified pin.

That's interesting... It looks to me that the standard 3/8-10 would be better as the threads are deeper... What is the benefit of the modified?

If the shaft in question was drilled 5/16. You'll be ok.
