Can anyone suggest a particular bit for live threading 3/8x10 for joint pins.

I looked in the search feature found a suggestion for the Micro 100 but no tool bit number.

I suppose there are other brands also.

Your suggestions would be appreciated. I have a Bosch Colt router.

I bought one from another forum member, it made to Bob Dzurickys spesifications by onlinecarbide.com

I would go with this if you can get the shipping down to postal flat rate box prices.

If you use the "will call for payment" check out payment method I can do $9 priority mail insured.
That is about half UPS rates and all quoted rates on the shopping cart are UPS.

I have been asked more details about the bit:

The shank is .250" and the neck is .125"

It's a single form thread mill or single profile thread mill, you can get them at MSC or other companies. Had to cut a bunch of AL plate for a client, with tapped holes. The prospect of hand-tapping was not pleasing. Easy though with a single form threadmill and some helical interpolation...

live tooling

Hello,

Try Harvey Tool, tool #981003 $67.50 plus shipping. I use this tool for flat bottom 3/8x 10 and 5/16x14 joints. When checking out the specs be sure the cutting depth or neck length is adequate.

Good Luck,

Joe
