3/8 10 taps

There's a couple of different variations of the 3/8 10 pin minor thread diameter. In case you didn't know, this will help understand others answers to your question.

i have a couple of g10 pins but if you look at the atlas web site you'll see what i mean
cuestix.com

Do you have a caliper ?
Measure the minor of your screw.
You'll have the bore the alignment barrel's hole.

Order the H0 tap.

What’s the difference between the HO and the other tap?

Ground thread tap limits are designated by the letter H (high) above basic pitch diameter, or L (low) below basic pitch diameter, and these numbers establish the tolerance range in relation to basic pitch diameter. As an example, in sizes 1” and smaller, an H1 tap has a tolerance range of from basic to .

Bore your hole to an appropriate size to fit the minor on your pin and it doesn't much matter what tap you use as long as the minor on the tap isn't bigger than your hole.

Your shaft will fit just fine.

What is HO tap

Hi Tom
H-0 should be tight fit plus zero based on the screw it was actually designed for. In this Industry, it can get tricky because depending on who makes the joint screws.
Ex.
H1 = Basic to Plus 0.0005"
H2 = Basic Plus 0.0005" to Plus 0.0010"
H3 = Basic Plus 0.0010" to Plus 0.0015"
H4 = Basic Plus 0.0015"

It can be a pain in the ass and Exspensive it you get into it to much. I know from experience. But I have what I wanted. The first 3 on the left cost me.
They are based on the regular 3/8x10 with a .281 minor on the screw. One for wood. Two for phenolics.
Hope this helps.

They have a regular tap, and also a bottom tap if you want threads all the way to the end of the hole. Use the bottom tap second.
