My break cue uses a 3/8x10 joint pin but I have noticed it's flat & because I want to get a spare shaft for it I was wondering which brands will fit it because it's not a standard joint pin.

What do you mean by flat?

If it's a 3/8x10 threaded joint pin, then all 3/8x10 threaded shafts will fit. It would also help to list what break cue you have or post a picture.

Edit - Judging by your signature, you have a Carolina Custom jump/break. If that's the case, then any 3/8x10 shaft will fit. Granted, you may want to match the joint diameter for aesthetics, but it is not necessary for performance.

It might be a flat bottom pin, commonly referred to as "modified" or southwest style pins. The barrel of the pin is flat as opposed to a "V" channel that the standard pins have. Pics always help of course.

Almost all cues with 3/8 x 10 have a flat (non-piloted) joint if that is what you are talking about. So it's a standard 3/8 x 10. Most large pin cues are flat faced.

The joint pin my break cue uses is pictured on the right, hope this helps.

That picture should answer your question for you. In other words, you should be fine.
