3/8x16 Headless Weight Bolts

any hardware store. i take my digital scale with me when i buy them.
They are called socket head set screws. You need to use two minimum locked together. I like the stainless steel myself. They cost a little more, but won't rust. They are available in many lengths. Three inches are about one ounce.
Maybe try a search for "set screws" as that's how my local hardware store has them listed. I've also purchased assorted Mezz weight bolts that sometimes get you where you want to be. Smaller adjustments are made by adding set screws or removing material from a Mezz weight bolt.

Set screws. Hardware store. 3/8-16 are a commone size. Using two will lock them together.
I have several Viking cues although they use 1/2 inch bolts. The other way to get consistent total weight and balance points is to drop a piece of wood dowel rod in the hole and tighten a single bolt against it if you just need a little weight and want it further toward the butt end for balance.

Really? In US hardware stores have both measurement type screws, sockets, etc... Europe only has metric? How rude.

It's likely you can find them at McMaster-Carr, but shipping is going to be expensive. And that is assuming they will ship to Europe. I often order (hard to fine) hardware from them, but dang, their shipping is expensive, even here in the U.S.

Which thread is for weight bolts, UNF or UNC?

My Viking cue has silicone caulk to hold the bolt in place. Seems like a messy way to do it. It would not be so bad if the bolt wasn't way up in there but you have to back it out back through all that.

I'd want to stick with shorter ones, there's probably enough tolerance but with a longer one, eventually the tolerance will stack up. 1.5 mm thread is 16.93 threads per inch, at some point it will begin self clearancing. If you can figure out what you want and not keep changing them that may hold it in place. if you can't you may wipe out threads.
Thank you for the suggestion, an M10 bolt would not work because of the bigger diameter. I measured a 3/8 bolt at 9.2mm outer diameter and it's a tight fit. The inner diameter is about 7.8mm. A #5 flat screwdriver that is 8mm wide does not fit in the opening.

Unc…..any time you will find any type of fastner into blind hole (not through and through, where say one would use a bolt with nut on the end) wooden threads it’s going to be UNC
Unf into wood would be highly prone to the crest shearing of the threaded bore. (IE:Stripped) and a waste of a manufacturer’s time and customer money
Get the Mezz ones and cut them (or have a buddy with a metal cutting saw do it), cut a slot in the top of them for the screwdriver. I did that to get some stackable weight bolts for some of my cues.
