3 "Missing?" pros

Last week, I posted about not seeing or hearing of Howard Vickery in some time. It's been a while since anybody has seen him.

I was also wondering about Joey Korsiak. Does anybody have info on what's going on with them? Joey plays in NY so the crowd there should be up on his whereabouts.

Evgeni Stalev is the 3rd player I have been wondering about. He's one of the most talented players on earth but disappears enough that he's starting to be like that famous groundhog who only shows up somewhere once a year or so.He has oodles of natural talent and is an ice water gambler as well. He really is a world class player.

Any info on these players is greatly appreciated.

I saw Stalev about 6 months ago in Castle Billiards in NJ. He was playing in the Blaze event and I believe won it. He was playing against one of the Philipeno's..I think Gabica...not 100% sure on that one..

Also seen Joey K in the Joss events at Comet Billieards every now and then...

Korsiak plays at Master Billiards on a semi-regular basis. However, when I see him play he's usually got his mind on other things. If he loses, it's a coin-toss whether he'll buy back into the tournament or just leave to go do whatever.

I don't know JoeyK very well. I mean, when I see him, I nod hello and that's the extent of it. I saw him recently at a Joss event and expect to see him again in a few weeks when Tony's tour begins. He's still playing, still has the respect of his peers. If he's not playing as much (which may very well be, I don't know), I'd guess it's familiy/job related.

add

Not to highjack Terry's thread but maybe just to add to it, can we add Danny Basavich to this list. Haven't seen or heard anything about him in quite awhile either.

Kevin,
You're much too polite. By adding Kid Delicious, you contributed another noteworthy player to this short list. Thanks for your input!

I was thinking the same thing about kid delicious, I recently bought and read his book, and saw a great match of him and Corey Deuel from the 04 Glass City Open, He ran 8 or 9 on him. Amazing stuff, is he still playing?

Joey K

Joey is working once again w/ his father. I called him a few weeks ago. We are pretty tight. I now he is in love w/ a chick from California, visits her quite often over there. We all now that pool don't pay the bills, even as good as "K" plays.

Danny's doing well. He is giving alot of lessons in NJ and NY right now and is getting ready to make his first pro appearance since his health issues last year when he plays at the Valley Forge Diamond (old Gabriels) 9-ball event. Stop by and wish him well!
