On holiday there from 1st to 7th April ( New York first).

Wife will probably only let me visit one pool hall in each city

So what pool hall would be best?

If any fellow AZB's fancies a few racks let me know.

NY is a big place. If you mean NYC, and you aren't already planning on going to Amsterdam Billiards, I don't know what to tell you.

Visited pool sharks in vegas around this time last year. Great people, nice room, and they have weekly tournaments.

Yes NYC so you would recommend Amsterdam Billiards?

I guess it just depends on what you want to see. Amsterdam is a very nice pool room. Beautiful bartenders and waitresses. Well taken care of gold crown 4s. A lot of good players and some pros several times a week.

It's also very pricy (especially if you're not used to nyc prices), there's no action and a lot of times you'll have to wait a while for a table.

I would suggest Steinway in Astoria, Queens. They have weekly tournaments Monday and Wednesday nights. A whole lot of good players. Always action, great Greek food and prices are a little more reasonable.

That sounds good, would fancy entering the Monday night tournament, will at least get a game with a good player.

Don't get many opportunities to play American pool over here but love the game.
