3rd Blue Book Delayed Again!!

I just spoke with Blue Book Inc. about the 3rd edition of Pool Cues and was told they are delaying the release till August of 2005!!!
I was lucky as my credit card has not been charged yet. If you have been charged I'd call for an update, or a refund..

Wow!

I really love the first two books, but this is taking a long, long time.

The thing is, I know they are doing an exceptional amount of research for the book. In fact, at one point they contacted me to get copies of old flyers, etc.

Despite the delays, I have a feeling that this will be worth the wait.

this doesnt supprize me at all. i just hope they do a better job you know less mistakes.
they always seemed to be worried about theyre dead lines than the quality.
dont get me wrong i loved both books, but they also had a lot of mistakes and showed alot of bias.
so for all who scrambled to get their info for the nov. 03 deadline, i hope they understand how important the deadline was and not the quality!!
i know you cant please everone but to find out theres a deadline in a couple of months for the cuemakers who only make a few cues a month obviously could not have anything ready.
i though it was funny when i talked to brad in vegas last july he said there were no plans for a new bluebook!!!!
then all of a sudden someone thought they could get quality info in a couple months and a few months later be selling a new book!!! wow
i guess you just got to prepare for the future and have somthing ready at all times...?????

Last year they showed up at The Midwest Expo to take pictures of the cues. I spoke with Martyne several months ago. She said it was all in the publishers hands at this point. Maybe they will make a showing this year, I hope so.. Thanks Dan, I'm going to give them a call in the morning to see if we can get them back.
