You need to add a minimum of 10 feet to the width and to the length in order to have room to shoot with the cue ball next to the cushion. Then you have other furniture to think about. My room is 29 x 17 and is none too big.

yep thanks ..thats what i kind of figured...i have a room 18'3x17' and i dont think its quite going to cut it

I kinda think it would work. Certainly more than enough room width-wise and I think you'd be ok length wise almost all of the time and only occasionally have to use a short stick to get a long stroke on a ball frozen to the cushion. Others will chime in with their direct experiences but I'll bet it'll work.

You have enough room. 18'3" is 219 inches, subtract the 100" for the playing field, subtract 58" for your cue length on each side which is 116". This gives you 1 1/2" back stroke on each side. You can get away with a room as small as 14 x 18'.

Good answer, I second that.
