4 cues dinged up by visitors - repair?

small dings can be fixed with a toothpick and spit/hot water. just use enough to fill the ding and repeat til gone. Bigger/deeper one's you can steam out. fone addicted kids, the world we live in. clueless little fk's who don't give a shit about other people's stuff.

In the old days guys used to take a wet paper towel and put a small corner of it over the dent. Then they held a lit cigarette close to the paper towel to steam out a dent. I borrowed one from my uncle to do this when I was about 14 years old. I didn't even take a drag. Just blew through it to heat it up. It worked.

Nowadays I use a small piece of wet paper towel and a soldering iron. It does the same job without your fingers smelling like an ashtray.

The soldering iron really is the bee's knees. Some dings take multiple steams. Afterwards burnish the shaft with something like an empty paper towel tube (don't do it on the glue lines, just on the bare cardboard).

This method takes time and is a bit fiddly but afterward your cue will be like new.

Follow this up with either a little pure carnauba wax or better with Renaissance wax.

Ah at least they didn't shoot out the neighbor's windows with a bb gun. Kids have been kids forever and they don't know unless taught. They don't think of consequences, just do what seems like fun at the time. We are all little self centered sociopaths until we learn to see the world through other's eyes. 🙂
