That is what you have to type into you tube for this short video to come up. A customer recorded it on his cell phone which is why it is so short. Although there are plenty of young players on you tube I would like you to note this kid (Sammy Paniccia) is drawing this ball on a 9 footer. He has an amazing stroke for his age and size. We will be posting better of him later. Yesterday he was practing deflection carom shots to combo the 9 in and making it.
Sorry, I do not know hot to do links. Maybe someone could post it to where it comes up on billiard videos period. thanks

Yep that kid is a rare talent. Hopefully he stays into it he is young i would be interested to see where he is at at Landons age. Thank you for the VIDEO

And the kid is left handed. Believe it or not that is an advantage.
Why would you say it's an advantage? A pool table looks pretty symmetrical to me.

Hello,

Hemicudas, why do you say being left handed is an advantage?? Just wondering because I'm a southpaw.

Left hand-Right brain dominant

7% to 10% of the population of the earth are left handed. Yet, arguably, the top 3 hitters in baseball history, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and Barry Bonds are left handed. A recent thread here on AZB entitled, Was Mike Sigel The Best Ever, poses the question if only 10% of athletes are left handed why are they so gifted?

There have been hundreds of studies done on why lefties have that slight edge over righties. Do a Google search and you will find some. This is one that is interesting. It covers left handed tennis players abilities also. Keep in mind, only 10% of athletes are left handed. http://www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk/sports.html

I am curious too

I am left handed too and have yet to find an advantage.
The only advantage that little Sammy has is that he is half filipino. :D :D

That is a bad example

The studies may have some merit, I am not a scientist. But your argument has nothing to do with the brain and milisceconds.
If 10% of the population is left handed, then conversely 90% is right handed. In baseball that would mean 90 % of the pitchers would be right handed. Since it is easier for lefties to hit righties it would only follow that the 3 greatest hitters in baseball would be left handed if they are good enough. Now that is a proven fact. If Hank Aaron faced more left handers I am sure he would have hit a lot more home runs. In this case the lefties had a big advantage but not for the reasons you quote.
Besides none of that paper would apply to pool. Would it?

lefties may have an advantage but i will live 4-5 years longer then you..so enjoy. thats what the "studies" say atleast. lol
