Don't think I'd do juma on a jump/break, but I haven't tried it. Do have juma on a playing cue, and like how it hits in a short ferrule.

Best regular ferrule material I've had on a jump break was lbm, but my current one has phenolic.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. They have to be too soft for jumping/breaking.

Yes Juma is on the soft side, but I`m amazed how much impact it can take..
Try a LBM ferrule, or even better a G10 ferrule

I'm getting my old jump break back soon. Haven't had it in my hands in quite a while. It currently has juma ferrules. My tip of choice for a jump break cue is a samsara jump break tip which one of the two shafts have. My question is, aren't juma ferrules too soft of a ferrule for a jump/break cue? Wouldn't you be better off with like an aegis ferrule or something similar? I just have it in my head that juma is similar to ivory as far as hardness goes. So the juma ferrules would have to be changed out to get the most out of the jump/break cue correct? Or am I working?

Thanks, John

Try a deer antler ferrule. I had one on a jump break once and I loved it.
